Welcome to the Waimak Classic Car Museum, Events and Function Centre. Enjoy a leisurely walk, at your own pace, around the carpeted showroom and enjoy viewing the 50 Plus Classic, Vintage and Exotic vehicles on display.

There are no stairs, which makes for easy access for all ages. Heaters for colder days, parking space is aplenty. Buses can park within metres of the museum. The selection of classic cars, trucks and motorbikes are constantly changing, some fast, some slow, some high, some low… and most are for sale.  

You can’t help but be in awe of the engineering, design, history and creativity that goes into these vehicles. They evoke memories of yester year and have provenance, of which we know most of, on each vehicle. 
Car clubs love the ‘car of the day’ feature area, and also being able to display their ‘pride and joy’ in a circle, this makes for a spectacular display and easy viewing. 

Whether you’re a car enthusiast, group, club or business, we invite you to come view our museum. Whether it’s a conference, wedding, anniversary, birthday, a group outing or funeral, we have the space and ambience for classic car lovers or for those just wanting something different. 

The museum is open by appointment only, seven days a week, at a time that suits your group. We do require a minimum of 15 visitors at any time. Entry fee of $15 per person or $25 per couple. Eftpos is available. 

We can include light refreshments and or lunch if required, taking into account any dietary requirements. 
If you wish to have a  BBQ under the trees, BYO picnic or light refreshments on the Waimak Classic Car lawn, we’d be happy to assist in any way we can. There are picnic tables and seating available.

Waimak Classic Cars are renowned for their attention to detail and quality of service. We are more than happy to provide you with service second to none and work within your budget. The museum is spacious and can hold 120 people seated, or 170 standing. The museum and grounds are a photographers dream, tucked away close to the beach, (only a 10 minute walk) with a classic car atmosphere. There’s a little cottage with verandah and garden path, ready for props and photos of the bride and groom! This opportunity shouldn’t
be missed. 

Our grounds have established trees, which make for a perfect outdoor setting to gather a group in the fresh air and natural light, for the holistic event. 

The Waimak Classic Car museum is a rare find, so close to Christchurch – within 40 minutes by car.   
We can arrange everything from pickup to drop off in a classic car or even a helicopter! If you love classic cars – this is so worth a visit to view and chat about securing your event. 

There are many options for catering from a buffet, a la carte, vintage high teas, or even themed. Just let us know your ideas and we’ll do everything we can, to make your dreams come true. We will take away all the stress and ensure your event is seamless and a great success. 

We offer a private space for you to ‘tie the knot’ amongst at least 50 vintage and classic cars….for up to (100) people. Arrangements can be made for bride to arrive in a Classic or vintage car and photos afterwards either in the showroom, Waimak Classic Car grounds, or the beach. On site catering including canapés right through to a full buffet and cake cutting, all easily arranged, keeping the wedding party together and enjoying the ambience of the museum and grounds.

Waimak Classic Cars offer a secluded, private conference area, for businesses wanting to ‘get away from it all’, but still be close enough for a day trip.

We have an established event centre, that has provenance, peace and quiet, plenty of space, with a vintage and classic car ambience. We can arrange all equipment required for your corporate event. Projectors screens, sound system, goodie bags! Theres plenty of light and heating for cooler days.

Within walking distance to the sea, Waimak Classic Cars’ setting, is amongst established trees that filter the breeze and sunlight, allowing the opportunity for outdoor classes or meetings. Perfect for Holistic events.

We are happy to support you in planning your event, and provide catering options, to ensure all details are included, after all ‘the love is in the detail’.

There is plenty of parking for buses and cars.

Waimak Classic Cars offers a UNIQUE private dining experience for couples or small groups, who love Classic cars. Why not dine amongst the classics! We can arrange everything from pickup and drop off, (helicopter or car!) a wide range of food choices, all based around your budget. The world is your oyster and we make it so easy.

Waimak Classic cars has the perfect venue for any classic car enthusiasts, final farewell. Surrounded by class and provenance, in a quiet, rural environment. At Waimak Classic Cars we work closely with your Funeral Director, celebrant or JP, to ensure your requirements are met.

Should your loved one be a fan of a particular make or model of classic car, we are happy to arrange a 'guard of honour' should we have them in our stable.

We provide catering to suit your needs on the day. This may even be Waimak Classic Cars providing vintage china for a touch of class, for that special lady, or savouries and beers for the working class man.
